Under this use, AB Connectors LTD uses chromium trioxide for the passivation of mechanical parts, electrical connectors and associated components made from aluminium and other metals.  These products are used in the defence, rail, aerospace and industrial sectors, subject to harsh conditions, both atmospheric and mechanical.

This process yields high performance connectors intended for specific applications (military, aeronautics, space, etc). The main performance requirements which have to be met by these connectors include:

  • Durability and adhesion (to subsequent coats)
  • Environmental stability
  • Colour
