Gas Safety (Installation and Use) (Amendment) Regulations (2018) – Post Implementation Review (Regulation 2(4) - CNG stations exemption)

Overview

HSE is currently conducting a Post-Implementation Review of The Gas Safety (Installation and Use) (Amendment) Regulations (2018) (GSIUR) to determine whether the regulations are meeting industry needs effectively. 

The 2018 Amendments came into force in April 2018. The Amendment to Regulation 2(4) had the objective of exempting CNG filling stations from the majority of the requirements of GSIUR, bringing them into line with other industrial premises and providing more clarity for business about the appropriate regulatory framework. 

In order to determine whether the objective has been met, we would be grateful if you could answer the below questions in relation to any CNG sites covered by the 2018 exemption for which you are responsible.
