7. The legislation that HSE proposes to repeal and revoke together with the rationale for why it is no longer required and related consultation questions are provided in the following annexes. The legislation has been broadly grouped by sector to help you navigate through the document and identify the parts that are of particular interest. You are, of course, welcome to respond to all the areas.

8. The contents of each annex is as follows:

  • Annex 1 - the Celluloid and Cinematograph Film Act 1922, the Celluloid and Cinematograph Film Act 1922 (Exemptions) Regulations 1980 and the Celluloid and Cinematograph Film Act 1922 (Repeals and Modifications) Regulations 1974.
  • Annex 2 - the Construction (Head Protection) Regulations 1989, the Notification of Conventional Tower Cranes Regulations 2010 and the Notification of Conventional Tower Cranes (Amendment) Regulations 2010.
  • Annex 3 - the Notification of Installations Handling Hazardous Substances Regulations 1982 and the Notification of Installations Handling Hazardous Substances (Amendment) Regulations 2002.
  • Annex 4 - the Gasholders (Record of Examinations) Order 1938 and section 39 (2) of the Factories Act 1961.
  • Annex 5 - the Docks Regulations 1988 and the Shipbuilding and Ship-Repairing Regulations 1960.
  • Annex 6 - the Docks, Shipbuilding etc (Metrication) Regulations 1983, the Gasholders and Steam Boilers (Metrication) Regulations 1981 and the Locomotives etc Regulations 1906 (Metrication) Regulations 1981.
